Install guide
Install PressLore on WordPress in 3 minutes: upload the plugin, activate, paste your licence key. Settings, booking, FAQs and troubleshooting.
Requirements
WordPress 5.9 or newer, PHP 7.4 or newer, and working email (for example WP Mail SMTP) to receive enquiries.
Install
- Download the plugin from the download page.
- In WordPress open Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, choose the zip, then Activate.
- The Site Study starts on its own. Watch it in PressLore > Knowledge or click Study my site now.
- Open PressLore > Subscription, paste the licence key from your welcome email and click Connect.
- Open your website and click the chat button.
Make it yours
- Settings: name, welcome message, colour, tone, suggested questions, pages where the chat is hidden, limits, consent and data retention.
- Knowledge: edit the business profile, add ready answers, check listings, set booking options and opening hours, and test any question.
- Add a chat button anywhere: use the shortcode
or link to#presslore.
Troubleshooting
- No enquiry emails: set up SMTP email on your site.
- Study stuck: your host may block WP-Cron. Click Study my site now in Knowledge; it runs in your browser.
- A price is wrong: fix it on your page and save. That page is re-read straight away.
- Caching plugins: nothing to exclude; the chat uses the REST API and loads only when opened.
