What is PressLore?
PressLore is a plug and play AI chat assistant for WordPress that studies your website once, then answers visitors only from your own pages, prices, listings and booking links, hands real enquiries to your team, and runs on Google Gemini through PressLore Cloud, so you never need an API key.
How is PressLore different from a normal chatbot?
A normal chatbot answers from general AI knowledge, so it can make things up. PressLore answers only from your website: it reads your pages, price tables, listings and booking links in a one-time Site Study, quotes your prices exactly, understands typos and short messages, and when something is not on your site it asks what the visitor means or passes the question to your team instead of guessing.
Do I need an AI or API key?
No. PressLore manages the AI for you: we hold the keys, pick the right model for each question and keep your daily limit. You install the plugin, click Connect, and you are done.
Which AI does PressLore use, and why?
PressLore runs on Google's Gemini models, managed for you by PressLore Cloud. We chose them for four reasons. Speed: answers arrive in a second or two, which matters in a live chat. Value: Gemini is among the most cost-efficient leading AI models, which is why every plan includes a generous number of AI answers a day at a fixed monthly price. Languages: it understands and replies in many languages, including Arabic and Hindi, so visitors can write the way they speak. Reliability: it runs on Google's infrastructure, built for uptime and security. Simple questions go to the fastest model and harder ones to a stronger model, so you get both speed and quality. And because PressLore manages the model, we move to better models as they arrive, with nothing for you to change.
Will the AI make things up?
It is built not to. The AI never answers from general knowledge: for each question PressLore picks the most relevant parts of your own website, and the AI must answer only from them, quoting prices and availability exactly as written. If the answer is not on your site, the assistant asks what the visitor means or offers to pass the question to your team instead of guessing. Many common questions never reach the AI at all: they are answered instantly from your own ready answers.
Is my visitors' data safe with the AI?
Only what is needed leaves your website: the question, with email addresses and phone numbers removed, and the few relevant extracts of your public pages. Conversations, names and contact details stay in your own WordPress database. PressLore Cloud uses Google's Gemini API under Google's terms for paid services, which say prompts and responses are not used to improve Google's products.
Can PressLore use ChatGPT or another AI instead?
You choose a plan, not a model: PressLore manages the AI so you never have to compare models, keys or prices. What your visitors care about is a correct answer, and that comes from your own website, whichever model writes the sentence. PressLore is tuned and tested on Gemini today, and if a better model appears we can switch for everyone, with nothing for you to change.
What does the Site Study do?
When you activate the plugin it reads every public page, post, product and custom post type (for example lands, villas, services or doctors), visits key pages like a visitor to catch booking links, phone numbers and opening hours, and then writes a business profile and 20 to 40 ready answers. Ready answers are free forever. When you edit a page later, only that page is re-read.
Which questions are free?
Greetings, contact details, opening hours, location, booking, "what do you have" listing questions, your ready answers and repeated questions are answered on your own site with no AI call. On most sites that is 40 to 70 percent of all messages, and none of them count towards your daily limit.
What happens when the daily AI limit is reached?
Your assistant keeps working. It still gives free answers, shows the best matching pages from your site and collects enquiries. AI answers switch back on at midnight in your time zone.
Can visitors book appointments in the chat?
Yes. PressLore finds the booking links already on your site (Calendly, Cliniko, Acuity, Setmore, SimplyBook, Fresha and many more) and lets visitors use them from the chat, or send a simple request to your team. If you have separate in-hours and out-of-hours links, the right one is chosen from your opening hours and public holidays.
Is it safe for clinics and medical websites?
Medical mode never diagnoses or advises on medicines, points emergencies to the local emergency number without using AI, removes emails and phone numbers before anything reaches the AI, asks for consent before saving contact details, and only uses Google's paid Gemini API, where Google's terms say prompts and answers are not used to improve its products.
Does it work with WooCommerce, Elementor and custom post types?
Yes. PressLore reads WooCommerce prices and stock, Elementor and block editor pages, custom fields and any public custom post type. It works with any theme. Shopify support is on the roadmap.
Where do I see what people ask?
In PressLore Office (open it from the PressLore menu in WordPress). You see every conversation, leads, booking starts, how many chats the bot answered by itself, visitor ratings and a Knowledge gaps list of questions your site does not answer yet.
How much does PressLore cost?
Starter is $15 a month, Growth $39 and Pro $99. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial, no card needed. Pay yearly and get two months free.
How do invoices and payment work?
Two days before your 7-day trial ends we email your first invoice, due on the last day of the trial. Every invoice email has a one-click cancel link: cancel before the due date and there is nothing to pay. Renewal invoices arrive 3 days before each renewal. If an invoice stays unpaid, AI answers keep running for 7 more days (with a reminder), then pause until it is paid while free answers keep working.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time, with the one-click link in every invoice email or in your PressLore account. Cancel before an invoice is due and there is nothing to pay. If you delete the plugin, everything it stored on your site is removed.
